A few years ago, we were like you. We were getting out the military after serving our country, and wanted to find our place in the civilian world once again.

We could have used help finding the right school, the right job, and still keep our military friends. Face it, its a lot easier if you have things lined up before getting out. Or if you are armed with ALL the information you need before you start talking with a recruiter.

So we joined the Army National Guard. We still have our military lifestyle one week-end a month, and two weeks a year.

We stand ready to be called if the need arises.

We share our values and our pride, and now we want to give back to our country. We've formed the "Friends of the Army Guard Organization."

Based in Michigan, Army Guard Org is made up of current and former active duty members, who now run businesses, work for private employers, or hold other civilian jobs. We hold positions as leaders in our communities, and in our Guard units. And we need you to help.

We've networked into friends who can help you transition into civilian life.

Welcome: For Non-Prior Service people: We can talk to you about your options BEFORE you start talking to a recruiter. We can give you good advice, and walk you through your options to make sure you understand ALL your options and benefits.

The bottom line is this: We are ready to help you decide if the Guard is right for you, by acting as your agent BEFORE you start communicating with a recruiter. We give you the facts.

We can help find a civilian job, make contacts for you in a school, or find you a place to live, a car, or whatever you need to help make the transition between civilian and military life. All you have to do is ask, and join our Army Guard units for as little as ONE YEAR (Current or former active duty only), or three years of drill status for non-prior service people.

All non-prior service people's contracts are for eight years- three in drill status and five in inactive reserve. We can explain it all. We tell you how it works, waht benefits are available, and make sure you know what to ask for.
